As a result of the increase in responsibility and obligation to using the Chromebook as an educational tool the students of St John’s Catholic Elementary School should be familiar with several additional guidelines:
As a result of the increase in responsibility and obligation to using the Chromebook as an educational tool the students of St John’s Catholic Elementary School should be familiar with several additional guidelines:
- The Chromebook is an educational tool and should be used solely in that capacity. Once it is issued to you, it is your sole responsibility.
- Chromebooks are to be carried such that identification is viewable at all times.
- Chromebook use on the school bus is strictly prohibited.
- Do not eat, nor drink near the Chromebook, and do not bring it to the cafeteria.
- Students are prohibited from playing games unless it is directed by a St John’s educator.
- Cyber bullying will not be tolerated and is punishable by school disciplinary action.
- Students are not allowed to bypass the school filters in any fashion. Any indication that has occurred will result in school disciplinary action.
- Use of camera’s in the classroom is strictly prohibited unless given that specific teacher’s permission.
- Never disclose any personal information online.
- Under no circumstances are Chromebooks to be taken for service or repair by parents or students. All repairs are to be done by St John The Baptist only.
Disciplinary Action: Any misuse of the chromebook by a student can result in disciplinary action ranging from verbal reprimand to the removal of your chrome device and formal charges.
